Beth Land Phelps married husband, Clifton, 28 years ago. Clifton is pastor of the First Assembly of God Church in Hominy, Oklahoma. Beth said that "music in a church setting is what drew us together."
Beth and Clifton have five children: Kriston, 23, lives and teaches school in Tulsa; Nathan, 20, is majoring in chemical engineering at Oklahoma University; Jessica, 18, will begin attending Southwestern Assemblies of God College in Waxahachie, Texas, next fall; Erin, 14, is a freshman at Hominy High; and, Alyssa, 12, is in the seventh grade at Hominy Middle School.
Beth is the pianist for her church, the Hominy School choirs, and she also gives piano lessons. Beth says she still loves music and is happy doing church work.
Beth's children are her hobby. They are involved in every area of school: academically, musically, athletically, and socially. She is everywhere they are and they all like it that way.
Beth said, "Just as a point of interest, we have graduated all three of our oldest as number one in their class. The tradition continues."
